Catalans Dragons loose forward Jason Baitieri has today signed a new two-year contract with the club.
The French International will remain at the Gilbert Brutus Stadium until the end of the 2020 campaign.
Baitieri, who arrived at the club in 2011, has made 188 Super League appearances and scored 18 tries.
“I’m very happy to announce that I will be staying at the Dragons for a further two seasons, which will mean that I will have been a Dragon for a decade,”said Baitieri.
“Never did I ever imagine my life turning out like this and it’s humbling to be a part of what is such a unique club in the Rugby League community. This year has been a turning point of the club’s history and we have a special group of players that can achieve more, I’m sure of it.
“I would like to thank everyone for making this possible and especially the fans for their kind words and support throughout this crazy season. See you all next year!”
Catalans coach Steve McNamara is happy to have agreed a new deal with one of his longstanding players.
“Jason is a hugely important member of our club,” said McNamara.
“His performances and impact on the field and his ability to help connect the group off the field played a big part in our progression as a team in 2018.”
