Dragons comfortable in London victory

Catalans Dragons scored six tries as they comfortably defeated London Broncos 39-6 to create a four-point gap down to Salford in seventh, albeit perhaps only for 24 hours.

Both Matt Whitley and Lewis Tierney scored first-half tries as, along with three goals from Sam Tomkins, the away side racked up a 14-point lead at the break.

The Dragons scored four more tries in the second half through Greg Bird, Arthur Romano, Sam Tomkins and a second try for Whitley.

Mark Ioane did score a consolation try for the home side before Sam Tomkins sealed Catalans’ victory with a field goal.
