Five players charged by the RFL

Wigan’s Lee Mossop has been charged for two counts of tripping following the Warriors’ victory over Catalans.

Mossop will make a visit to Red Hall after the Match Review Panel deemed two offences worthy of Grade A charges. The first offence was on Tony Gigot in the 19th minute of Wigan’s 26-6 win, before committing the same offence in the 80th minute on Glenn Stewart.

Hull KR duo Ben Cockayne and James Green have also been charged.

Cockayne has been charged with a Grade B dangerous contact offence following a tackle on Chris Hill, while Green has been handed a Grade C punching charge after an incident involving former Rovers player Jordan Cox.

Wakefield’s Anthony England could miss two games if found guilty of a Grade B shoulder charge on Jon Wilkin during their defeat to Saints, while Brad Singleton’s tackle on Aaron Heremaia in Leeds’ defeat to Widnes has earned him a Grade A high tackle charge.
