An odd bit of wartime history.

Far too interesting for this thread.

I was almost in tears of happiness tonight:  Bacon doughnuts.

Just had the annual fly-over of large numbers of military planes for the Trooping the Colour.  Their flight path takes them right over my house at very low heights.  All of the enjoyment of seeing the fly-over, none of the unnecessary socialisation of large crowds

A great night of Cajun music at the New Beehive.

They are playing the Conway festival next week, along with Bradford's very own ( and excellent) Cajun Aces.

Both the cricket and tennis have been delayed by rain today.

I'm so glad they decided to televise each on BBC and sky.

On the cricket, it's silly having a contest that's so intolerant to rain in England with no rain days or alternative days scheduled in.  It's not as if all teams are playing on the same ground, just call it for the day and let it be played tomorrow.

We had a fly past of a Vulcan Bomber at Hastings yesterday afternoon, nice and slow, and did a couple of loops, then we went out for a meal to celebrate the fact that Fathers Day this year falls on the Same day as my Birthday!

Let cricket be played in the rain. As for tennis, they get one hour, whoever scores the most wins. If it's rained off, play table tennis.

Just bought a pair of Timberland boots, my first experience of the brand. Really really comfortable. Oh, and a 2 terabyte hard drive - 2 terabytes! I can remember using 8" floppy discs!

Don't get the two mixed up. It could wreck your computer.

I remember the IT manager where I worked in 1997 telling me he wouldn't put a 1Gbps hard drive in my PC as there was no way I'd ever need that much space.

I now have a free giveaway 2Gbps memory stick on my keyring.

My first hard drive in a PC was 50MB but now I have over 12GB of music alone!
