Peter Capaldi is the only Dr Who to have won an Oscar.

Peter Capaldi is no relation to Jim Capaldi.

I knew a Pete and Tony Capaldi when I was growing up. Different ones though as the Pete Capaldi I knew was a rather portly type.

Arguing with the forum trolls is like playing chess with a pigeon.  No matter how good you are, the bird will **** on the board and strut around like it won anyway

Perhaps the UK was once flooded with Capaldi's, just after the last ice age. That would mean most Italians are native to this country.

I don't know any Italians.

BTW, Jim did a great version of "Love Hurts."

Wash your mouth out.

:bb:

There's only one definitive version of Love Hurts ... Gram Parsons and Emmylou Harris.

Turn it in, the only version worth bothering about is by Nazareth.

Not bad, but a bit like Nazareth, not quite top drawer. Emmylou and Gram turned it into a duet, which took the song to another plane

I always thought that the best British version, if they had a bash, would be turned out by Frankie Miller and Bonnie Tyler. It would be able to be both good and different from Emmylou and Gram.

I watched Countdown yesterday and managed to come up with the word wotsits.

Turns out it's not in the dictionary.

Just got back. I thought that some of the acting was child-like, singing hit and miss, and the plot was very thin. Decent selection of emotional mothers though.

Three stars.

So you won't be hiring anyone for your band?

Sit on my face and tell me that you love me.  (Safe for work, unless the Indy is classed NSFW where you work, maybe the Daily Mail or Sun offices)

An anagram of Larry the Leit is Tyler The Liar.

Maybe that's the name of his band.
