For years the despicable film that is Battlefield Earth has been comfortably at the top of my list of worst films ever but it has finally been replaced. Last night I watched Fido. This is easily the worst film in the history of film making.
For the terminally curious, here's the film's trailer
If you've a couple of hours to spare, go watch a rerun game of rugby union between Scotland and Argentina in atrocious weather, you'll find it far more interesting...

By all accounts (haven't seen it myself) 'Gigli' has got to be a contender.

"Perhaps it would be better that future criticism of sports be made on the narrow basis of what is being discussed, without reference to other sports, unless those sports offer a solution to the problem in hand." - Brian 'Pigface' Moore
"What happens in rugby union? A player takes the ball, moves forward a little and gets tackled. A whole load of players then roll about on the ground. Pheep! The referee gives a penalty." - Simon Barnes

Yep Gigli is supposedly terrible. It was a real running joke for a while, especially on thinsg like Leno and Conan O'Brien. The weird thing is I saw a trailer for another Ben Afflek film last night. Why do people keep making films with him in them?
The other one that was on recently was that one called "Snakes on Planes" or something. I've never seen it but apparently it is nothing more than the name suggests. Just a plane full of people which for some reason is also full of hundreds of deadly snakes. Well... could happen I guess. I guess the snakes kill everyone except for the heroes/heroins and they somehow kill the snakes instead. Gee, hope I haven't spoilt it for anyone.

Don't diss Snakes On A Plane.
It doesn't take itself too seriously, so you can give it some leeway.
Indecent Proposal, on the other hand, is cringingly bad. Or Independence Day. Or Lethal Weapon 4.
I can't normally sleep on planes, but I started watching Lethal Weapon 4 coming back from the USA and it did the trick.

Mr Lonely. Astonishingly bad, as previously discussed on here - it was the one with the celebrity lookalike commune where they all turned into boiled eggs at the end. Don't ask.
Lord of the Rings. Alright, I accept that it was done on an epic scale. But God it was dull.

Actually I agree. I've only seen the first one because I'm not terribly interested, but it was dull. Especially the end because nothing happened. I know it was the first part of a series but you can't have a film with no ending. It's like to be continued except you've got to wait ages for the rest. Clearly I wasn't motivated enough to keep watching.
And on a similar note: The Passion. It was a bloodbath for two hours and then in the end nothing happened. I mean, sure we know what happened (supposedly) but it was just a nothing ending. It was all about the crucifiction and that's it. I remember watching it during all the hype and just staring balnly at the end wondering what the fuss was about. All the born agains just worked themselves up way too much.

"I heard Ryan Giggs say once that he had been here from the beginning and never wanted to be anywhere else," he continued. "And it's exactly as Ryan Giggs said - I am here now and I don't want to go anywhere else. I am the happiest guy. I find myself sitting at home sometimes, thinking: 'Hey, I am a Manchester United player, can you believe it?' It is a wonderful thing."

How is it no one yet has mentioned AI?
Words fail me to describe it. At times I laughed out loud in the cinema it was so bad. It started bad and just kept diving deeper and deeper into the depths of awfulness.

Beaches. I had to watch it with an ex-girlfriend. It's dreadful and by the end I was shouting at the TV for the women to "just f&*%ing die". Needless to say, I didn't get my oats that night.

Those contributions are all truly awful films but once you've experienced the masterpieces that are Fido and Battlefield Earth you'll come to realise that they are, after all, not too bad

I thought Hollow Man was alright. It's not classic cinema but it's an enjoyable enough way to pass a few hours.
It has Elisabeth Shue in it as well, which is a bonus.
