Hello
It's great to see that with the expansion of our forum network we've had more visitors to our forum, many who are posting on here.
Welcome, it's good to meet you!
There's a terrific bunch of people who post on here already. There's a fair number who will re-join us when the off season is over.
When 2009 NRL Season starts we will again be having our regular weekly tipping competitions where awards are made and a league table follows our progress.
There will also be a Fantasy Team competition throughout the season.
Everyone reading this is welcome post on the forum and to take part in our competitions either on an occasional, or hopefully, regular basis.
So here's a thread where newcomers can introduce themselves and where I know you'll be welcomed into the friendly fold that is our forum.
Wherever you are in the world, if you love your Rugby League and want to talk about it you'll find many like minds here.
Welcome to the Australian Rugby League Forum
Here's to a great NRL season ahead
Cheers,
Graham

I live in a Yorkshire village here in the north of England.
I follow rugby league in general, but especially the NRL and Championship RL here.
My two teams are Melbourne Storm and Featherstone Rovers.
I chose Melbourne as they were a new club and a fresh start for me when Super League started in the UK and my club (Fev) were not included in it.
Since then I've closely followed top level rugby league in Australia and along the way come across some great people on this forum.

Hello to everyone new to the forums.
I'm Didgi, one of the 'great people' G Las D mentioned.
I come from Cairns, in the state of Queensland, in Australia. This is the territory of the North Queensland Cowboys, which is my team. 'Didgi' is the nickname given to me by my friend's dad, and I'm still trying to figure out what it means.
Perhaps you're puzzled at your inability to post in some of the forums on this great site. This is because you need to have made 100 posts in other parts of the forum, such as this one. Stick around, you're sure to have a ball. If you are worried about your lack of NRL knowledge, or support only super league teams, don't worry. We also discuss Super League, National Leagues 1 & 2 and many more.
As G Las D said, we (actually HE) run a couple of competitions, such as the NRL Tipping Competition and the NRL fantasy league competition. I'm also thinking about starting a general quiz thread nearer to the start of the season.
If you have another topic other than Rugby League you would like to discuss, GO AWAY!................................................
Just kidding.
We're not going to bite if you stray off topic.
If you are new and having trouble with your signature, profile picture or other matters, feel free to private message me. Do this by clicking the My Controls link at the top of the screen, and selecting 'Compose New Message' from the menu at the right.

G'day, CEagle here and new to the forum (well actually I've been a member for a while (joined 09/07) but not posted much.
I reckon it's not hard to work out that I'm a Manly Warringah supporter.
I hail from the Illawarra on the NSW south coast (Australia) and strangely enough have no connection to the Manly area what so ever, only that I started supporting them at age 9 (36 years ago).
As a non Manly local I tend to cop heaps of flack from most of my mates who like the majority of people donot support Manly and support their own team plus any other team who are up against them (except maybe Melbourne
)
I definitely subscribe to Manly's unofficial motto being "nobody likes us but we don't care".
Hope to have a few in depth discussions.
Cheers

I'll admit I did have a soft spot for the Steelers but was an entrenched Manly supporter well before they arrived on the scene.

Welcome CEagle.
You must have been well pleased with Manly's win over Leeds Rhinos in the WCC. Not bad if you can end one season with a GF win and start the next season with a WCC win.
By the way you are welcome to join our tipping comp. We are a good bunch of mates on here as you'll no doubt have gathered by now.

A chart of many colours
OK the forum has a nice range of colours in the editor, but sometimes you just need a different colour for your team. The chart above has been a faithful & handy tool for quite some time.
