Accounts for 2008 reveal a break-even, despite reduced turnover

The accounts of Bradford Bulls Holdings Limited for the year ended 31 December 2008 reveal that the group broke-even, posting a loss before tax of just £10,105 on turnover down 11% at £4,639,613 (2007: profit before tax of £257,605 on turnover of £5,153,826).

Commenting on the 2008 results, Bulls' chairman Peter Hood said: "2008 saw difficult trading conditions that became progressively worse as the year wore on and the economy fell into recession. However, we were quick to respond to the changing economic climate and to achieve beak-even in such challenging circumstances is not a bad result."

The full financial statements have been mailed to shareholders this week and the company's Annual General Meeting will be held in the Coral Stand at the Grattan Stadium at 7:00 p.m. on Monday 7 December 2009.
