Wakefield Trinity Wildcats are delighted to officially announce that they have agreed a four year partnership with Wakefield based sportswear manufacturer PROSTAR to be their Official Kit Supplier.
The partnership covers a wide range of areas from Official Replica Jerseys, to Official Merchandise such as training wear, to leisure wear and much more.
The deal is also a historic partnership as two of Wakefield’s oldest brands work together after nearly 250 combined years of business in the city, with Wakefield Trinity Wildcats forming in 1873, and PROSTAR, or STAR SPORTSWEAR as they were then known, forming in the city in 1899.
Wildcats Commercial Manager Ed Curran said “I am immensely pleased that we have agreed this new partnership with PROSTAR. We are consistently growing and improving on and off the field at the Wildcats, and this deal represents the largest sponsorship agreement of its type in the club’s history. PROSTAR have been great to work with and the partnership represents two exciting and fast-growing brands coming together.”
The partnership is also fantastic for Wakefield as a whole, with PROSTAR being based in the city for well over 100 years.
We believe that we have created two truly memorable replica shirts which our fans and players will love for Super League XV, and are committed to making the team and our supporters the best dressed in the competition!”
PROSTAR, who are kit suppliers to a number of top football and cricket sides, have been kit suppliers to local rivals Featherstone Rovers for the past year and are relishing their first partnership with a Super League side.
PROSTAR Marketing Director Ian Bishop said “”We are honored to be able to supply the Wakefield Wildcats Super League team and their various representative sides with their new playing attire for the next four years. The PROSTAR brand has a reputation for quality performance sportswear that fits naturally with the high demands of a Super League Club.”
