I know it's a few weeks away yet but Workington in the cup could prove to be a tougher match than first thought. Sunday they beat Whitehaven and have already seen off Gateshead away. With their squad strengthened by ex Barrow players they are building in confidence so we will need to be wary and not play too many reserves.

That really depends on your opinion of this competition. I've already said on another thread that i believe we as a club should try to win EVERY competitive game we play but realistically in this comp all we are really looking for is a couple of home ties that we can win, then a tie against one of the top teams to swell the coffers. Winning the cup is now well beyond teams at our level.

I don't expect us to win the competition but we need to beat Workington and progress as far as we can because we need the revenue.A repeat of last season will do me (with a better performance against the SL team).
Don't know what the bar takings were but the Warrington fans were supping plenty.
What we can't afford to do is slip up against Workington.
