And Billy Ivison too. Both nice blokes. Sadly, no longer with us. sad.gif
We could also think of some of the Fev greats of that era who are no longer with us.

Every time Fev and Town meet they play for the Billy Ivison Trophy so one team will have a trophy this season.

I think if the Town players actually get off the bus before half-time then I will go for a 24 - 12 win for Fev. On our travels we have tended to give the home side a good lead in the first half and then come back at them in the latter stages, so I don't think our fitness will be a worry.

I remember when .............................

"It is impossible not to feel a twinge of sympathy for Workington Town, the fall guys this season for the Super League's determination to retain it's European dimension, in the shape of Paris. While the French have had every assistance to survive, the importance of having a flagship in a heartland area like West Cumbria has been conveniently forgotten." - Dave Hadfield - Independent 25th August 1996.

just love the quote from andy kelly on radio leeds, when asked why the score was so large he said "worky came with a defeated attitude" , not an ounce of praise for us at all

1.Tommy- Thought he had a blinder in attack & defence

2. Stu - Rock Solid, now he can concentrate purely on being an excellent prop

3. AndyKain - Purely for the second half tackle that nearly cut their forward in half, Oh and that great try !

Apologies - right post but wrong thread

Four games in 12 days

226 for & 22 against

Well done guys

Carry it to Dewsbury next week
