Interesting that the top 2 teams are out of the Northern Rail Cup, whilst the bottom bunch are all through along with a couple from championship 1.

I know it is our own fault for not beating Leigh and Sheffield, but what does this tell you about this competition?

The tournament needs a complete overhaul. I wonder how the sponsors feel about the structure, because they are not going to get the semi final or the final that they deserve.

What is more, the current structure is costing clubs money, because at the start of the season when you need to pull in new fans, the rugby is a bit random.

Why not play it as a knockout comp during the season? For me the argument of more fixtures = more money does not stack up, because the attendances are low and over the season it costs you money.
