The Spike episode 3 (not exactly safe for work)

Will Self on Wetherspoons

I normally like Will Self, but that was just a load of bourgeois, metropolitan, snobbish twaddle. I quite like Wetherspoons. OK what they serve isn't exactly cordon bleu, but it's horses* for courses.

*Perhaps mentioning horses wasn't such a good idea just now.

I'm not a huge fan of Wetherspoons, but its done a tremendous job for the survival and popularity of British real ale. It's also horses for courses, and the group has literally millions of regulars.

If the big breweries had had their way, we'd have little option but to drink fizzy cold cack.

Will Self might be a great writer (I've never read any of his stuff) but in TV appearances has always struck me as a self-regarding snob who pretends to be anything but. Take away his sneer and what's he got left?

spot on. Take Weatherspoons away and lots of the smaller real ale breweries would really struggle.

Yes, a decent sized portion but wouldn't call it a struggle.

What the large one? That and a side of scampi was a fair match for me and mr bro. It's nice of them to outlne the calories too... around 2,500 I reckon plus beers.

Anyhoo...

Lewes FC and their creative approach to match day posters - some of them are absolutely superb! :)

Fairly sure that this is a spoof site but you never can tell with American religious nuts. Fappy the anti-masturbation dolphin pushes me towards spoof though.

Saudi Arabia 'running out of swordsmen for executions'

While the subject is another, bigger issue; it's a strange news story!
