I just think, after getting Mick's updates tonight and thinking how fantastic some of the games sounded, we are missing an opportunity to promote an even faster and possibly more exciting version of our sport as a one off, once a year.
Any thoughts, positive or otherwise?

I know there were quite a few 16/17 yo's introduced such as Stevie Ward - Leeds and Jack Pring - Wales.
Also, keep an eye out for 17yo Wigan player Matt Russell.
I'll be in touch tomorrow.

The guy(s) who organiser the Carnegie 9's is in an ideal position to push the game to a TV outlet.
"Former BP Oil Marketer who fronted BP's sponsorship of the England team at FIFA World Cup 98. Neal eventually followed his passion for Rugby and became Marketing Director for the 2000 World Cup overseeing 29 games in 5 countries. Having also been the Rugby Football League's Commercial Director and securing a record Challenge Cup Sponsorship, in 2002 he set up the Sports Channel in a bid to assist National Governing Bodies with increasing their exposure to Television audiences."
I suppose the Carnegie competition has come about from the experience gained by running the York 9's (are they still on the go??) and the Cheltenham 9's.
They will have tweaked things learned from these to make the tournament you now see, which can only grow into a top class event and hopefully get on a TV channel in the near future.
I don't think Hetherington had much input into the original concept and even now the Nines are organised by an independent company,I believe.

I, just like those Castleford supporters felt that the ball should have gone to David Plange but he put the bit betwen his teeth...and it was a try
Kevin Ward - best player I have ever seen
The real Mick Gledhill is what you see on here, a Bradford fan ........, but deep down knows that Bradford are just not good enough to challenge the likes of Leeds & St Helens.

Pretty embarrasing result for the Bulls that their 1st team were beaten by the Wigan reserves
