Another one bites the dust?

I watched the Australia England RU international this morning. i have to ask why RU keeps recruiting players from RL hoping they will make the grade. Shontayne Hape looks like another to add to the (in)glorious list - Andy Farrell, Henry Paul, Lesley Vainikolo, Iestyn Harris et al who all failed to make the cross over. I exempt Jason Robinson from this list but can't think of any others.

I don't fooking care, it is a krap game to watch anyway.......And..The players to move over are not true to the RL Family....In other words they are Bustards.......

A wee bit harsh there methinks. I enjoyed, many years ago now, playing both codes, admitttedly at Extra B team level (at that level in those days, many RL teams were full of A.N. Others cos we weren't allowed by the RFU to play both codes) and still enjoy watching both codes today. Admittedly if your remarks are aimed at England's RU team I would be inclined to agree with you. Their performances recently have been truly turgid (or do I mean ###### like?).

In the meantime I shall continue to support the Eagles and in winter toddle up to watch Sheffield Tigers, provided I can remember where I have put my Arctic clothing lol.

The good old BBC Radio 5 Live announced that England had had a relatively poor day, with a really bad football result, Hamilton only just getting pole for the GP and in Rugby England beaten by Australia..... not a mention that it was Union OR that England had in fact stuffed the French at Leigh in Rugby League....

Is it not about time that the RFL got their publicity and promotional marketing organised and made sure that the media a) know a match is on; make sure that the media is updated regularly during the course of the games and c) makes sure the result, the scorers etc get passed to ALL the media outlets, especially to mobs like the BBC.

Makes you realise how little the RFL does to promote the wonderful game

What a ###### article! It asks the question why RL players don't do well in RU and then never gives the answer!
