70 mins, game been very quiet, until Monas concedes a pen for a head shot, and Cru score from the position.

Scrum pen to wires? ohmy.gif
Briers finds touch, Riley taps, goes, and scores.
Westwood adds goal for 10-30, and that's the hooter.
At 24-4 Wires seemed to declare, and the game became stalemate for nearly 20 mins.
Solid effort, injuries hurt Cru, I think they ran out of subs and had to carry a limping soldier or 2 late on.

Starting to look worrying like a worrying trend with the Crusaders crowds. You'd have to think that Wire brought a lot.

I thought that they should have given the Crusaders the derbies earlier in the year when they might have been able to sell them out.

Briers finds touch, Riley taps, goes, and scores.

That try, his second, was his 21st of the season, equal to Fa'afili's 21 in 2007, and with 7 games to go.
Hicks, who also scored 2 today, now has 17, so could still get to Henry's total.

I think Crusaders may have more to worry about than their crowds over the coming weeks.

Wire were initially only given an allocation of 850, I simply don't believe the claims that they were going to take 3,000 to Wrexham.

Not far of 3000 Warrington fans today. Unfortunetly they also brought a few chavs we could well have done without.

Good atmosphere behind the posts with a full stand of Wire fans.

Strange game in a way. Crusaders racked by injuries before and during and others have said Wire sort of declared. Believe Wire should have got 40-50 today, but something not quite right. I would blood one or two of the promising under 20s. Maybe give Westwood a week off like Morley had today. Myler and Carvell will improve as they get back to match fitness. Maybe Clarke re-introduced to the team could give Monas a break. Wire hardly made a clean break in the game and the goalkicking is as poor as ever. Goalkicking does mater and its nice to see Sinfield, Lomax etc kicking some excellent goals.

Well done to the Wire fans on here.

I couldn't get to the game because I was away. How did Sammut play for us? When I heard the result, I was actually quite relieved - it could have been much worse.
