I missed the broadcast but apparently Eamon McManus was on BBC radio Manchester on Thursday night and said that the stadium contractor has been appointed this week. The name of the contractor will be announced next week along with a start & expected finish date for the stadium.

the work will start in earnest when the access road is complete, this should be in another 6 to 8 weeks. but there is already quite a lot of activity on the site.
