Luke Patten and Ryan Tandy to....

Tandy's rubbish, in fact he's the only proof I need that the NRL isn't that much better than SL!

Whitehaven RLFC - Still in NL1, I blame Leroy Joe

Patten is nearly dead.

Tandy is very average in an excellent structure.

Salford are yet again proving why franchising works. Top work.

`Patten is nearly dead.`

Thats why Huddersfield felt he was an ideal replacement for Hodgy.

`Tandy is very average in an excellent structure.`

Irish international so not on the quota - seems a useful squad player to me.

Your typical anti Salford comments not even filed and thrown in the bin. Jealous are we that we are building a better team arounf Mr Holldsworth for the new Stadium?

If these 2 signings allow us to utilise the rest of the money to promote the british youngsters then it's fine by me.

Sidlow, Ratchford, Adamson, Jewitt have all signed new contracts. Holdsworth has signed his contract and though an Aussie he is a young one.

As with many things it is about balance and next year should be about devlopment, this year was about spending as little as possible and evidenced by results.

We need a replacement for Alker as he isn't going to be playing next year.

I do believe that after watching the MSK coverage from OZ that Patten has lost a bit of his former lustre, maybe a change of scene could resurrect his enthusiasm for the game, but he is definitely not firing on all cylinders presently.

On Tandy I think you are entirely wrong!

He has been most impressive in the games I have seen him play from down-under recently and in the World cup for Ireland he was outstanding against all opposition. In fact as a performer he completely outshone Pat Richards and the other top S/L player in that squad Platt, who both played as though they were learning the game.

Tandy could prove a pretty shrewd signing for Salford, especially if he brings his present form with him.

Patten has played nearly every game for 10 years. He's knackered.

Tandy is very average in a team that plays with an excellent game plan. Out of this game plan, in a McRae coached team he'll be pish.

What have i got to be jealous about?

Tandy was average when he played in the UK before. Since he played under Bellamy, her's turned into a very useful prop with a Premiership ring.

To prove that this wasn't just through playing under the Storm structure, he's turned the Bulldog's pack around in the past 4 or 5 weeks since he went there.

The Dogs fans really rate him, and can't understand why he hasn't been signed permanently.

He'll go really well at Salford, as he would for pretty much all SL teams.

Patton is still a very good player, although he's lost a yard of pace...which would be expectd given his age. Still one of the most consistent fullbacks in the NRL though.

"Yeah, Marty Bella has been getting more and more frustrated all night, but he's barking up the wrong tree picking on The Chief.....he CAN fight!"

Steve Roach commentating on Origin in the 90's......he's a different style to Eddie and Stevo

I thought Patten played well when the Dogs were on Premier Sports the other week. He still looks a classy player.

Heard rumour that Patten was going to Huddersfield?

Rumour being the operative word

A lot of Yorkshiremen believe that when God created the world, he made it with perfect balance.

He balanced the hot areas with the cold areas. the dry areas with the wet areas.

And, in creating Yorkshire, he created the most glorious place on earth - full of majestic beauty and sporting giants.........and for balance he created....... Lancashire.

Patten and Tandy are a good step forward for Salford. They probaby need another impressive forward to go with him, and probably a Polynesian, and one top class centre.

I look forward to Salford in their brand new stadium --- hopefully almost as swank as St Helens stadium --- firing on all cylinders in the 2012 competition.

Le rugby a treize, c'est moi!

Tandy an Aussie who calls himself an Irishman when it suits him. not on the overseas quota (what a joke) stopping the development of British talent.
