The real prize is the grand final and all the league is is a time trial for positioning. Its great dont get me wrong but if we take our eye off the ball we could be sat watching the GF at home which would be much more disappointing than the joy of coming top in the regular season. So if it's all the same, I'm happy to celebrate winning the league even. It might mean sod all to the RFL, or to any bug_ger else, but it does to me!!! We've had a cracking season and finished top!! Incidently, I was talking to Rovers 83 and Sidnee yesterday and remarked that if we were fans of other clubs, say Leigh, Dews, Fax Batley etc, we'd be saying something to the tune of "Fev look bloody strong and will take some beating by anyone this year!!! It's only cos we are Fev fans and have seen us come short afoore, that we are much more cautious than that!! This season has been a massive achievement so far ..... It's not over yet, but I don't see why we shouldn't allow ourselves a 'bit of a do' for finishing top afoore settling down and re-focussing on what needs doing to finish t'job!! I don't give a flying fruit bat what anyone says, next week i'll be giving it "championees championees" and celebrating winning the league. Because there is no P+R at the end of the play-offs i've always felt the league and play-offs are two seperate competition. Let's win em both!!! I'm coming no matter what, I won't be able to travel to the Grand Final if we get there so Sunday is my celebration of a very sucessful season, no matter what happens. we should all do our best to be there and remember it's free for ladies and there's a race night straight after.
