Discuss the game here!
Money can't buy happiness... but it can buy bacon which is close enough.

Sorry, can't be bothered.
Oh, O'Meley and Fitz are back. That's all.

"I don't see what all the fuss is about. I mean, it's only fair after last year isn't it? Look Neil, just for you, I've put my best Rovers' tie on today in the hope it'll go some way to make up for it. Oh, by the way, Jon sends his regards."

Come on Rob, look at us and out run but I'm still as optimistic as ever mate.

Fair comment Mick.
Difference is, you've offloaded the architect of your downfall, we've given ours another two years.

And some think Hull have problems....
One point not mentioned on this forum is exactly who is making the decisions at Quins these days over the playing staff. The one player who has ben anounced this year on a four year extended contract is Tony Clubb. This goes against the comments made by Brian MacDermott at a previous fans forum in that - correctly - Mac was of the view that by signing a player to such a lengthy contract you risked both Injury and loss of form leading to a situation like this season whereby Jon Wells - no doubt viewed by you as quite sage filling in for Paul Cullen on Boots n'All - counts against the Quins salary cap for the entire season despite retiring with the season about a third gone. Equally there is a quote from Danny Orr in this weeks RLE who felt that while Brian McDermott wanted him to stay on for 2011
Interesting.
All Quins season ticket holders can bring two mates in for FREE on Saturday using Special Offer voucher 5. That is of course those that can tear themselves awasy from the silky smooth skills of the wendyball pre-season game at the Emirates. I was almost expecting a thread demanding the game be moved......
I believe I have found the solution to Quins attendance problems - The Press Gang - It worked wonders for the Royal Navy in the 1790's http://www.nelsonsna...broadside7.html. It would also clear the streets of Twickenham and Whitton...
The Warrington game date has finally been smuggled out on the Super League website as 8.00pm Friday 3rd September, there are those mischevious soulsd who knew all along that due to the clash with RFU events it was unlikely to be Saturday but of course the move was really caused by SKY....honest....

Sam Tomkins - Rugby League Week 14.03.12I was sat on the Underground train, and there was a girl looking at me. She was pretty good looking, too, I thought, "something's wrong here - girls as hot as that don't take an interest in me".
Then she came over and said - in a really strong Cockney acent - "excuse me, are you Sam Tomkins?".
She asked me for my autograph, and I was made up...until she asked me to make it out to her boyfriend. I was gutted, I thought she wanted my number
Benji Marshall discovering about Sydney "fan" loyality (Benji - page 245)After we were well beaten by South Sydney at the Sydney Cricket Ground in 2010, a coupl;e of kids maybe eight or nine years old took their Wests Tigers jerseys off as I was walking off the field and threw them at me. "What's this" I said "You can have the jersey" one of them said "we don't go for West Tigers anymore". Then they ran back to their parents who were laughing. That was difficult to take, having kids who look up to you do that. I just dropped the jerseys on the ground and kept walking. It's not like we go out and lose by 50 points on purpose

Hull by 12+, it's doubtful if we'll win another game this season.

Quins are our bogey team and I don't expect a result this weekend.

A really important game for Hull this one IMO because defeat here may well drag them into a battle with the teams in 6th and 7th place.
The return of some big guns will help but its sure to be a nervy 80 minutes away from home as it always tends to be.

Totally agree. And on the flip-side, if we win and Wigan beat Leeds tonight, we're back to the all important 4th place.
Leeds (29pts) - Wigan (h), Cas (a), Catalans (h), Hull (a).
Hull FC (28pts) - Quins (a), Crusaders (h), Wire (a), Leeds (h).
Hudds (25pts) - Wakey (h), Wigan (a), Salford (h), Catalans (a).
Hull KR (25pts) - Cas (h), Salford (a), Wigan (h), Crusaders (h).
I can see Leeds losing tonight, and Hull losing against Wire, and most likely both "should" win the other two games on paper, meaning it could come down to the last game of the season for 4th.
Alternatively, Hull have been beaten by all of the teams remaining already this year. Both Hudds and Rovers have got 3 very winnable games, with a difficult game against the league leaders. If they were to win 3 out of the 4, then Hull will need to win 2 out of 4 at most to keep 5th. So these games are "must wins".
Nothing's decided yet!

Bit of a fire sale going on at the Stoop, so if you want a souvenir of the London RL Team ...
QUOTE

I'm sure the shop is bulging.
It would only be a bargain if any of the items were nice, which they are not.

Quins have try disallowed in first minute for double movement. Hull score first with Mark O'Meley barging over after good work from Fitz. Tickle goals, 0-6. Ten minutes gone.

You'll need it mate with Craig Murdoch and Lee Richardson stuttering and stammering like they're doing. Yeaman over for Hull, 0-12.

Big Sam Moa gets his first try of the season. 0-30. This is only the 3rd game I've missed this year. Bloody typical.

I had £50 on Hull FC outright at 8/11 on.
Just sat in a pub in Skipton getting Robs text updates.
It makes the Hull FC vs Leeds game on Saturday 4th September MASSIVE!!!!

Luke Dorn opens Quins account in the 2nd half. Looks like yet another genius team talk at half time from Agar. 22 mins left.
