Worth trying, although I suppose many fans will still be paying off their Christmas overspend.

Indeed. And as for bloody February, it was cold enough in Edinburgh last May for me!

If it's correct then sounds like a good idea to me. Great way to start the season off. One thing is for sure, it won't be the first weekend in February as Wales are playing England at home. Fingers crossed it isn't the 2nd one as that's Valentines weekend. For me it's fingers crossed for the last weekend in January but purely for personal reasons. Just hope they get on and make the official announcement so that we can start making arrangements. With a bit of luck accommodation will be cheaper at that time of the year and all you have to do is wrap up more warmly. Not too difficult that is it.

Meh, wouldn't be my first choice, but let's see how it goes if this is confirmed.
Not keen on a lengthy drive down there in the middle of Feb. I also expect that the festival feel of the event will be lost as it is likely that the weather will be too bad for people to be outside drinking and socialising, and the lack of a Bank Holiday risks making the Sunday a bit of a damp squib.
That said, I love the concept of Magic Weekend, so I will go along and support it wherever and whenever it is staged.

THE Magic Weekend is Millennium-bound after two years at Murrayfield.
The Super League extravaganza - seven ties at one venue over a weekend - is going back to Cardiff, reverting to its old formula of derby matches.

The idea is to hold the two-day event next February, with the Millennium Stadium roof shut to keep the fans warm.

The roof was shut in May and it was still pretty cold!
None too keen on this really. But if I can go, I will.

It's warm enough when full, no matter what the weather outside.
Personally I'm made up. Really like Cardiff.

Woo and also hoo. Will get a weekend ticket as soon as. The rfl need to hire a few places to organise events, parties, seminars, meet and greets, etc etc to give it that festival feel and more publicity purlease. Apart from that pub stadium, pub, stadium, pub, stadium, pub - can't be beat.

Predictions for the future -
Crusaders RL to get a franchise for 2012 onwards -WRONG
Widnes Vikings also to get a franchise - RIGHT
Crusaders RL to do the double over Widnes and finish five places ahead of them -WRONG
Widnes Vikings NOT to dominate rugby league in years to come! STILL TO COME

I promise to pay 10 to the charity of Bomb Jacks choice if Widnes Millionaires finish above the battling underdogs Crusaders RL. I OWE A TENNER!

Will closing the roof really make that much of a difference to the temperature? Having said that, if it is to be the opening round of the season then it will certainly make an impact.
