Predictions for the future -
Crusaders RL to get a franchise for 2012 onwards -WRONG
Widnes Vikings also to get a franchise - RIGHT
Crusaders RL to do the double over Widnes and finish five places ahead of them -WRONG
Widnes Vikings NOT to dominate rugby league in years to come! STILL TO COME

I promise to pay 10 to the charity of Bomb Jacks choice if Widnes Millionaires finish above the battling underdogs Crusaders RL. I OWE A TENNER!

Ah the Derby Game that was never to be with Quins fans making up a large number of the 3,009 crowd at Bridgend last Easter. Nowhere near that will be in attendance today, with the late shift to 6.00pm on a Friday. It reminds me of the Huddersfield-Sheffield merger where "Shudders" played a couple of games in Sheffield in the post-merger season with a sort of "if we must attitude" ditto the Cru who should remember they were awarded the Franchise for South Wales.
When I was at Crusaders - Wigan earlier this season the crowd was at least 50% Wiganers and the Wrexham crowd struck me as less knowledgeable and less "rugby" oriented than the fans at Bridgend. So I am not surprised after the novelty has worn off that the core attendance appears to be shrinking.
Its also noticable that the Soccer fans are begining to percieve the Cru as a drain on their club as can be evidenced on the Wrexham FC Red Passion website. This does illustrate the point why Quins never became Charlton RL or merged with Harlequins RUFC at the first sign of trouble the fans of the established partner blame the RL Club for their woes as was the case years back with Fulham RLFC.
What about the match Rooster this is a prediction thread - well as Quins could not beat an egg at present, I predict a comfortable Cru win with scattered applause echoing round the Gnoll.
If your in South Wales turn up for the lights are going out on Super League rugby being played in South Wales and the darkness may last for decades...

Sam Tomkins - Rugby League Week 14.03.12I was sat on the Underground train, and there was a girl looking at me. She was pretty good looking, too, I thought, "something's wrong here - girls as hot as that don't take an interest in me".
Then she came over and said - in a really strong Cockney acent - "excuse me, are you Sam Tomkins?".
She asked me for my autograph, and I was made up...until she asked me to make it out to her boyfriend. I was gutted, I thought she wanted my number
Benji Marshall discovering about Sydney "fan" loyality (Benji - page 245)After we were well beaten by South Sydney at the Sydney Cricket Ground in 2010, a coupl;e of kids maybe eight or nine years old took their Wests Tigers jerseys off as I was walking off the field and threw them at me. "What's this" I said "You can have the jersey" one of them said "we don't go for West Tigers anymore". Then they ran back to their parents who were laughing. That was difficult to take, having kids who look up to you do that. I just dropped the jerseys on the ground and kept walking. It's not like we go out and lose by 50 points on purpose

Working until 1700 hrs so I couldn’t take the boy down to Neath for the game. Listening to quite possibly the worst radio commentary ever on BBC Radio London. The chap doing the commentary doesn’t know half the players and mentions the nationality of the ones he does know, omitting to mention what they’re doing on the pitch. BBC Radio London would’ve done a better job sub-contracting the commentary to Chorley FM. Very disappointed with Cru’s first half performance, just hope Nobby can work his magic at half time otherwise I’m going to have a stroppy 7 year old on my hands.

One thing I dislike about commentary on Radio London, is ht.
The "voices " go for a brew and leave an open mike to listen to the ht "entertainment"
Never cut to anything anywhere, sports reports/interviews cued up ready, nothing.
In game it's factual, but not very enthusiastic.
