I really expected a harder game than that.
12-0 early, bit of Cats pressure, then 2 quick tries ended it around the half hour mark.
Nice exhibition stuff in the 2nd half, but it wasn't really a match.
A few weeks back, I'd have wondered what the margin would be, after we lost 2 on the spin I got worried, especially losing 1 to Cats, maybe that's what made us boss today start to finish (with the exception of the last 2 mins of each half...)
Leeds, with their "off the cuff" abilities vs Wires, who can do likewise, both styles resulting in errors, changeovers and the like.
Could be gripping stuff, bring it on.... cool.gif

When did the RFL implement the australian "two referees" strategy? It was interesting to see how it went today with silverwood and briers, will they have the same refs for the final do you think?

Taking lessons from Wellans. I don't see the need to mouth off at the ref when you are cruising along. cool.gif

A lot of Yorkshiremen believe that when God created the world, he made it with perfect balance.
He balanced the hot areas with the cold areas. the dry areas with the wet areas.
And, in creating Yorkshire, he created the most glorious place on earth - full of majestic beauty and sporting giants.........and for balance he created....... Lancashire.

Despite the final scoreline, Cats threw a lot at the Wires line from 12 to around 30 mins, all from Morley trying to play the ball too quickly.
Cats pressed hard, but we read their options well.
I though Mather at F/B was outstanding in the first half- he had to be.
Once we got up the other end, though, that killed it....

There isn't a snowflake in hell's chance Leeds will roll over in 3 week's time....

Wezza is easy to deal with.
Hit the "ignore" button, like me.
Won't stop him posting his innane drivel, but at least you can avoid it....until someone quotes it....

Hoping for a fight, or Pagga

I couldn't watch all of it, but Wire looked very good in the first half, taking full advantage of their opportunites and holding out a sustained spell of Cats pressure. They looked as good as they have in a lot of their games this year, and can take apart inferior teams with aplomb.

That was the very first time that I have not watched a game of S/L (supposedly) standard through, since sky and BSB before that, began televising R/L.

Catalans were a disgrace and if they cannot improve their standards ought to be demoted out of S/L because if another club, any other S/L club, is sacrificed to keep them in S/L solely in the name of expansion, it will be a disgrace and a total injustice.

To state that they were inferior in every department would be being kind to them and I can probably think of a few NL sides who would have given Warrington a harder match than they experienced.
I was disgusted with that game and simply could not believe how useless the Catalans were!

I have supported the inclusion of a French side but if that is the best they can offer after three seasons in S/L then it is high time they went down and learned how to compete before they are re-considered for the top tier of English R/L.

PS; I omitted European purposely.

OMG WTF

I have thought about your post and agree in parts, but then on reflection, Warringtons defense was top notch, they tried new things in attack (and they came off) and their handling skills / pace / flair was good.

Wires wanted it more than Cats, to say they shouldn't be in SL, they are above Quins in the league. ohmy.gif wink.gif

(if you read all my posts, i not a french lover, but your chat is ###### (buts thats my opinion tongue.gif )

You're not wrong.

Astute analysis from a Wigan fan:

Rumour going around Headingley that Wire will have to play the second half with 12 men.

It seems that they forgot to bring the half time oranges, and Solomona ate Chris Bridge instead.

Don't know why he was hungry, as he looked as though he had eaten the whole youth team before the game started.
