Anyone any ideas why the RL shown on BBC, be it the Super League Show or Mickey Mouse cup games is shown in SD and not in HD?
Just wondered as the titanic Division 2 soccer clash between Scumbags Utd and Derby County is in HD right now??

HD? With the BBC we should be thankful it's in colour.

It's to try to get more folks off their sofas and into the ground.
With soccer being higher profile, for some reason, they pander to it.
Feck knows why.
30k+ folks turn up to a game with no goals, and think it's thrilling entertainment.

Ridiculous isn't it, they should have all been in the betting shop celebrating their wins on the match having no goals.

Scumbag United? Leeds Utd have always been hard had the bottle to back it upn where as most of the Rhinos players start trouble then back of. Lee Smith pushing a saints player and then backing away after he had tricked the ref into giving a penalty.

BBC ONE HD is launching in a couple of months on top of the BBC HD channel they already have so can't see an further excuse for them not to have the Challenge Cup in HD next season.

Trying to watch the Sky+'d Wire v Cats game on BBC SD straight after the Community Shield on SS1 HD was pretty difficult. It's a real shame BBC don't consider the Rugby League to be given the same coverage as 2nd flight football amongst other things, but hardly very surprising to be honest.
