The Castleford Tigers can confirm the detailed plans for their new stadium will be unveiled this Friday evening prior to the Engage Super League clash with Leeds Rhinos.
The plans will be on view in the marquee from 5.00pm until after the game.

A detailed planning application for the new £26 million community stadium at Barton will go to Salford planners next week (Thursday, August 19).
Salford City Council has formed a joint venture company with Peel to deliver the stadium, which is the largest single investment in sport in the city for decades.
It will be a centre for a range of community activities and also home to Salford City Reds and is to be built in time for the start of the 2012 rugby Super League season.
After work to prepare the site is completed, construction of the new stadium will start in November.

I just wish these clubs would get on with the process instead of spouting more hot air!

Plank
Now then, it's a race between Sandie....and Fairburn....and the little man is in........yeees he's in.
I, just like those Castleford supporters felt that the ball should have gone to David Plange but he put the bit betwen his teeth...and it was a try
Kevin Ward - best player I have ever seen

The real Mick Gledhill is what you see on here, a Bradford fan ........, but deep down knows that Bradford are just not good enough to challenge the likes of Leeds & St Helens.

15,000 according to a document I read at work.
I've seen a few of the drawings, it's very boxey, Lobby will be proud.
The scale of it throws me a bit, I get the impression it's just like the Jungle now, but with a roof and seats all the way around (even though the architects had terracing), very shallow, small sides and one bigger main stand. However Cas can't get 15,000 in at the moment, so maybe it's a little bigger.

good to see salfords ground is still at 20,000, not 13,000 as was rumoured
the more clubs that get new grounds the more the clubs that dont cant compete and get left behind.
RL is coming from the 1900s to the new millenium

They are only going to use one stand, the one opposite the TV Cameras, to make it look full. Like London Broncos did for a year at Brentford, then moved the cameras to the same side as the supporters, which acheived the opposite effect

The capacity of the Salford stadium seems to change depending on whether it is phase 1 or 2.
I'll just be glad to see work finally start before Xmas.

20000 is fine it Man United reserves are going to use it
but with all due respect to Salford they are never going to fill a 20000 stadium even if they win 3 grand finals on the trot
But i do hope Salford Castleford Sts and Wakefield get the stadiums their supporters deserve
NOW WHAT ABOUT THE BULLS and Odsal how do they get away with this

who knows what kinds of crowds they can get 10 or 20 years down the track?
at 20,000 they can get extra income for international and finals games.
i believe if the stadium is built bigger initially clubs have more incentive to fill it than if its just 13,000 - 15,000 and they get lazy marketing the club

August decision for Salford to go ahead and build - November start.
September decision for Wakefield to what?? Is it outline permission or actually build??
When is Castlefords date for putting the plans in?? Outline application or build??
No real objections at Salford or Cas.
Objections possible for Wakey???

Either the 2nd or 23rd of September for an outline decision, if passed detailed plans are ready to submit immediately after (not withstanding if the plans getting called in) with a 46 week build once all formalities are settled. I think the developer is hoping to start in the New Year.
