Not sure who I would pick but unless you can score more than the opposition you rarely win.
The English team does not have the defense to keep Australia out or the attack in the backs to worry them.
The only hope would be a wet muddy day and pick 3 good tactical kickers that can play the game in the other teams half a drive through the forwards with an 80 minute effort.
It was noticeable that in last years 4 Nations in both games against Australia, England scored 2 out of 3 tries with Forwards.
Over two games Eng 32 v 72 Oz
So Oz score at more than double they concede.
In what was basically two games of two very different Halves, Oz largely dominating the first Half in the first game and the second Half in the second game I am not sure how England will do on hard fast tracks in the heat.
Hope its a competitive series.

Would be happy with that. Replace McGuire with another mobile forward though.

I can't get beyond the fact that if Hall is to be played then the most proficient centre/wing pairing in S/L should be maintained, so Senior should be chosen. I also hope that Hall would have improved his tackling technique from the last 4 nations he played in!
McGuire has to get the nod with the form he is in presently, no matter what has occurred with him in the past and with Pryce ruled out, he is easily at the present time head and shoulders above all other stand offs in S/L.
Sinfield I choose reluctantly and only on the basis that he can take a position both in and out of the pack.
Tomkins has to be at FB. Like Slater he has a very special apptitude for that position and should not be denied the right to play there.
Widdop would be in the squad if Sinfield ( once again) did not measure up I would draft him into the line up.
The trouble I find with Sinfields inclusion is the fact that there are TOO many ball players in the squad and not enough runners, although the previous case made for Senior/Hall could likewise apply to Sinfield/McGuire, I would concede.

Once again non-Wire fans turn a thread around so it is about Warrington, yet no doubt the Wire fans will get the stick.
