Try the other one - is that what it's all about now then giving something a try in the hope it works?

Christ what has happened to our sport

I don't think he meant it that way, at least I hope not.

Well smart yes they could.

How????

Bradford, Wakey, Cas and Salfords local councils have all visited the HJ.

They have been around the ground, looking at all the facilities and meet with the Warrington council.

Warrington has been used as an example of how to put an offer / bid / stadium together.

and the stadium is all ours.........is yours????????? No. Council tax in the halton laugh.gif laugh.gif

SO YES WE CAN.

I guess we should try and get a definitive as to what he meant then eh?
Now then, it's a race between Sandie....and Fairburn....and the little man is in........yeees he's in.

I, just like those Castleford supporters felt that the ball should have gone to David Plange but he put the bit betwen his teeth...and it was a try

Kevin Ward - best player I have ever seen

The real Mick Gledhill is what you see on here, a Bradford fan ........, but deep down knows that Bradford are just not good enough to challenge the likes of Leeds & St Helens.

i would have posted yesterday afternoon with the point except.. well some of us get caught up with work etc..

Without posting a hugely long post it seemed the best way.. obviously it annoyed people so i'm sorry.

as i say it was "if things arent moving fast enough with the incumbant".

Assuming that one of Cas and Wakey loses out this time around (probably a fair assumption espcially if 2 go which is possible).. then i would say Fev would at least be on a par with either of them when sitting in he championship. If the one that stays in Super League then stutters along with grounds etc and Fev is knocking on the door heavily then surely the common sense approach would be for a like for like replacement, area wise but perhaps a better run club with its eyes on the right prize.

If Fev were the best of the rest and the incumbant club of wakey and cas were sitting in super league and couldnt get things organised then replacing them with a strong fev would be a very very easy move for the Super League board, "the area isnt damaged" argument etc.

However, if Cas and/or Wakey get themselves moving and in gear then it could be very tough for featherstone as the area would be relativly saturated with Super League clubs.

The very basic idea being the other 2 were given their chances and didnt get their backsides in gear and Fev have been sitting getting along with the job quietly so surely they should be given their opportunity as they have everything right. hence "give the other one a go"....

As i pointed out very early though it is a case of IF and BUT but i would certainly be looking over my shoulder knowing fev are banging the door down in 3 years time IF I dont get things sorted, if i were cas or wakey.

It would of course have to be caculated in that Fev would have to be as strong as the team being replaced etc and its not just a "feck it i hope this works".. but as i say it would be a worry to me if i were cas and wakey that in 3 years they WILL have got up to this standard on all accounts (they arent that far off now)..

they have 3 options that can cover that area for local talent without a merger (its just a word.. i know it wont happen etc) if the 2 that have been given more than 3 years to sort it out cannot get up to speed but the 3rd is almost there or is already there in a lower division then they would surely be due their "chance to make it work" hence "give the other one a try".

Good stuff.

actually that editorial really ###### me off. Not because all their points were invalid but for a paper like the guardian (which i've been reading for 20 years!) to lecture a sport that they have treated with utter contempt about what they should or shouldn't be doing is ######. The guardian would be more than happy for league to be a nice semi-pro northern sport that they can occasionally roll out a patronising article on for us latte sipping bastard readers and then have a mournful obit when it dies. tossers.

The Rotherham advertisers afford Rugby League more column inches than the Guardian does, and it's only a weekly publication - of the highest quality of course!!!
