Michael Monaghan has splashed the cash to ensure his biggest fan gets the trip of a lifetime to Saturday's carnegie challenge cup final.

Warrington's Australian hooker, man of the match in last year's win over Huddersfield, will be cheered on by his 84-year-old granddad.

"Ernie has never been on a plane before," says Monaghan. "In fact, he has never been out of New South Wales, and probably he's never actually left his own town.

"Normally, he and my grandmother only watch my games on TV. But he jumped at the chance to come over even though he had to organise a passport pretty quickly.

His Grandad sounds a bit like Crocodile Dundee the way he descibes his upbringing! :D
