The initial squads for this game have been named. Obviously the England squad is subject to change depending on who gets to the GF, but it probably indicates who is in contention for a 4N place.....
Cumbria: Calvert, McAvoy, M Jackson, Hill, S Miller, Mattinson, Sice (all Haven); Frazer, Mossop, Low, Coward, Pedley (all Town); Broadbent, Harrison, Campbell, McDermott (all Barrow); Davies, Brocklebank (both Egremont); R Purdham, Wilkes (both Harlequins); Amor (Leeds); McNally (Huddersfield); Clarke (Warrington); Gardner ( St Helens).
England: Chris Bridge, Adrian Morley, Ben Westwood, Richie Myler, Gareth Carvell, Ben Harrison, Ryan Atkins (all Warrington); Kyle Eastmond, James Graham, James Roby, Scott Moore, Jon Wilkin (all St Helens); Jamie Langley, Andy Lynch, Nick Scruton, Paul Sykes (all Bradford); Shaun Lunt, Kevin Brown; Leroy Cudjoe; Eorl Crabtree (all Huddersfield); Ryan Hall, Danny McGuire, Kevin Sinfield, Lee Smith (all Leeds); Tony Clubb, Ben Jones-Bishop, Louie McCarthy-Scarsbrook (all Harlequins); Tom Briscoe, Kirk Yeaman, Willie Manu (all Hull) Michael Shenton, Joe Westerman (both Castleford); Sean O’Loughlin, Sam Tomkins (both Wigan); Jodie Broughton (Salford); Peter Fox (Hull KR).

Its magnificent to see so many SL players giving their time to this, it shows that when tragedy occurs in the game people still rally round and give of anything they can. In this day and age of such cynicism and aloofness in many sports it gladdens the heart.

Can I ask why Lunty & Ben harrison are in the England squad and not Cumbria's, like Adie Gardner is doing ?
Thanks to all the players, decent of you all.

I think there are other Cumbrians such as Ewan Dowes and Peter Lupton, shame Lee Mossop is injured too.

I would expect that Lunt and Harrison are in the running for the 4N and will be training with the England team, so they get first dibs.
I didn;t realise Jon Clarke was Cumbrian...

His mother is from Cockermouth so he qualifies under the heritage rule

I thought Gary Broadbent was out for the season with a broken hand?

Agreed.
Excellent initiative though to be having this game.
Good luck to all concerned.
PS, I still have no idea how Langley gets anywhere near an international jersey.

No Joel Tomkins? Paul sykes in? Looking purely on stats Shenton hasn't played well enough and if sombody can get Clubb tackling properly then he could be quite a player.
"surely they've got to try somthing different now, maybe the little chip over the top?2
