just looked it up ,its been Cumbria since 1974
Its simple enough Barrow became part of the Cumbria ADMINISTRATION area in 1974.
Look it up again. Barrow still is part of the Lancashire County Palatine as it was in 1948 when my birth certificate was registered.
Ergo it is in the COUNTY of Lancashire and the Cumbria administration area
