RFL issues appeal for information
The RFL has appealed for witnesses to an assault on a Halifax supporter on Sunday evening to contact Cheshire Police.
David Singer, 32, was assaulted as he left the Halliwell Jones Stadium in Warrington on Sunday following his team’s victory over Featherstone Rovers.
“This assault has shocked the whole Rugby League community and we feel sure that anyone who has information will do what they can to find the person or people responsible,” said RFL Media Manager John Ledger.
“At this terrible time our thoughts are with David Singer and his family.
“The RFL is continuing to work closely with the two clubs, Cheshire Police and the stadium authorities with the ongoing investigations and will provide what help it can.”
Anyone with information should call Cheshire police on 0845 458 0000 Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
