Am I missing something with the Club Lottery? for weeks now the Jackpot has been on a rollover for £1000. Every week it states an additional £50 as there has been "no winner". Is this yet another scam with the lottery a la £5.00 a week club. Some sort of explanation would be welcome, but knowing the club the pigs are flying high again.

Perhaps you would be better asking your question to the club. 0161 628 3677.

How about the club posting an explanation on here or on the website??
Ain't it funny how you think you're gonna be OK
Till you remember things are never gonna be the same again?
Ain't it crazy how you think you've got your whole life planned
Just to find that it was never ever in your hands?

Maybe they won't because no one has asked them the question.

The message board you may have noticed is detached from the club website now. Therefore if you wish to receive an answer to a question from the club, I would advise that you contact the club through other means. Maybe you could then ask them to post information relating to the matter on the website.
My assumption on this matter is that there is a £1,000 maximum on the prize. But that is as I say just my assumption.

Ah so its ok for the club to use the message board when they want us to know something but not the other way round.

Got it now.

The club does use the message board to bring attention to things that are published on the website. It does not use the message board to tell people there is nothing about a certain subject on the website.
Please, if it concerns you ask the question to the lottery administrator at the club, who can be contacted on 0161 628 3677.

i think that you both are right, you SC for saying if you have any questions ring the club, and OG for saying why cant the club put something on the message board, if they have seen a fellow fan who has a general concern about where their money is going. just good relations between the club and fans, more fans friendly.

Following on from the comments regarding the Lottery. I see that week 46 has just been added to the club website with one or two additions.
Week45 states £50 rollover jackpot-- No winner- £1000 next week.
Week 46 now reads £50 a week rollover jackpot to max. £1000.-No winner- £1000 next week.
My question now is What is happening to the £50 each week that is not added to the jackpot?
Is there some small print that says this £50 a week goes back to the club or should it be earmarked for some form of winning number?
If not what is happening to this (our money) that we pay in the hope of a small win for helping the club.
Yet another question mark over money to the club.
If no good reason is forthcoming then my contributions will stop and I also know of others that are ready to follow.

I know my direct debit goes out each month in good faith-i don't check the numbers as i don't live in town but trust that the club would contact me.

I know a lot of others do the same-maybe this is what the club is banking on??

I don't even know what my numbers are?? They weren't on my membership card??

Winners are informed and paid automatically, I can confirm this as a work colleage of mine won the £300 once.

My numbers are on my membership card. I would assume you would have to check with the office if you are a member of the lottery and you do not know your numbers. Although it does not matter if you do not know your numbers as all prizes are paid automatically.

As you can see there has been no reply from the club to my original question, and before Saint10coach ( who I believe works for the club with something to do with this board) tells me again to ring the club, I again ask why should I. The last time the rollover jackpot was won was on week 20 (we are now on week 52). I make that 32 weeks since it was last won making a total of £1600 in the pot with a max prize of £1000. I will ask again what has happened to the £600 surplus. has it gone to the club,if so why aren't we told or has it gone somewhere else?
My money will soon be staying in my pocket. Enough is enough.

If the jackpot isnt won and you have a limit of £1000
then the £50 should be building to
(which as you have stated is £600)the next jackpot prize fund should now be
at £600 as you cannot use the money for anything else
as its lottery money and clearly states £50 added per week
sorry for sticking my neb in wink.gif
