Why?
Bradford are getting an assistant with a very successful record as an assistant, surely that's a good thing?

I'm a rhinos fan so sad to see him leave Leeds. But it's great news for Bradford to have such a well accomplished assistant.

Not me. I'm pleased. He's a good coach, and we've been a bit short handed in that department. It's all good as far as I am concerned.

Indeed. I'm very content with this appointment.

YES! Very happy; a proper coach, with proper experience, an excellent, successful track record and a very good playing career behind him to boot.
Compared with the appointments McNamara made to the backroom during his tenure, it's chalk and cheese.

Mixed feelings here. He must be a good coach to hold down that job for so long and had an excellent playing career. Also a fresh voice and slant on things.
The down side is obvously the Leeds connection (man and boy) and that, money aside, Brian McD!?? Why not assistant at Odsal unless he's on a promise at Headingley.
As for Cummins as an obvious loyal Leeds man he must feel that he's carrying the can for their decline.

A wembley final(albeit given a right kicking) and 80 minutes from a grand final is hardly a decline is it.
I think Cummins will do a good job at Bradford, maybe he just needed a change of scenery.

One bad season in 4,given the injuries Leeds have had this season,it's not too bad but hey,if people want to call that a decline, then fair enough.

I'm not being funny mate, not saying they're going downhill like others, as you could well have won the grand final this year if mags had stayed fit, however realistically, compared to 3 years of near domination in SL and 3 grand final wins, this season must be classed as a decline from that, sneaking fourth and not reaching the GF.

its a great coup. he was obviously hanging on for something better in terms of head coach position and as that hasnt come along, come to bradford, i suspect its for one year only but he was a good player and has good credentials as a coach.

I thought him and Poching were leaving Leeds cos they wanted head coaches jobs?
He seemed to be saying that he was leaving Leeds to further his career but surely this is quite a step backwards?

Not the scribblings of Mr Craven, perchance?
