What's the point of dragging this up again.

Hysterical Wiganers stamping their feet after the loss of the first play -off game, then go all quiet when they qualify in the second.

Pretty much like a spoilt child cries for his toys- then is happy when his parents give em to him.

Pathetic.

Fair play for a thread/poll which is obviously tongue in cheek this has got some strong reactions (which I guess was its purpose). It's not worth getting wound up over a poll with option 3 in it is it? As for you My Missus, I'd be careful, the rugby gods may not approve of your cockiness and smite Wigan next season as a result tongue.gif

biggrin.gif The rugby gods got it all worked out really, McClennan (probably inadvertently) wished injuries on other teams and as a result they smote Peacock and Maguire. They then realised that this was too severe so to level the score they smote Richards. In a rather genius fashion however they only smote them to such an extent that they'll all (with some luck) be back for the start of next season so as not to cost the game too much quality. Meanwhile they keep smiting St Helens because they know that we have far and away the strongest team and if they didn't level the playing field there would simply be no competition for us tongue.gif it all makes sense when you think about it biggrin.gif

Ok fair enough, on a more serious note injuries are obviously a horrible and upsetting part of our sport and here's wishing that all those unfortunate enough to succumb to them make full, speedy recoveries while the Rugby League community continues to support those who can't through the benevolent fund.

agreed no more jesting, the season is over some players are injured but hopefully they will all be back fitter and stronger for next season to do it all over again.
(they will have to be fitter and stronger to beat wigan) biggrin.gif

Much ado about nothing really - McGuire cheated and in doing so suffered an accidental injury which he would not otherwise have had incurred had he played by the rules - you pays your money and you takes your chance. Wigan were awarded the penalty which could have won the game but missed it and so had to do it all again at Headingley 6 days later. Alls well that ends well as they say. Phil Clarke (who has no connection with Wigan Warriors) then makes some controversial comments - which is exactly what Sky pay him for - and then Jamie Peacock & McLennan (who have plenty to do with Leeds Rhinos) ably supported by their chums in the media, Wilson et al, start whingeing like a couple of big Mary-Annes in the lead up to the semi at Headingley. If you want my opinion, they knew they were beaten before the game kicked off which is why they resorted to mouthing - it reminded me a bit of the time when Mike Tyson fought Evander Holyfield and bit his ears off. Tyson knew he was beaten before he got in and his actions on the night showed it as did The Rhinos' actions in the lead up to the big game. Leeds said plenty, Wigan said nowt and the result was never in any doubt.

I have to say that what really did for Leeds was the obvious fact that both clubs had clearly had the riot act read to them about niggling & gamesmanship which robbed Leeds of one of their most potent weapons. Once it came down to the football alone then there was only ever going to be one winner.
