Quite what that tells us about there prospects for the tournament is questionable. I do get the funny feeling they may well be targeting the game against England as their one to win. By that time England will have already played NZ and Australia - pity we're not playing PNG first.

It was hardly rosey in the World Cup when we did!

Won't it be better to play PNG last when at least the team won't be caught cold? They could be absolutely demoralised but then so could PNG.
In any case I believe that it is a good thing if PNG have got England in their sights. A serious threat to England's position as one of the top three should act as a motivation.

I just thought that as England looked a bit rusty on Saturday, they could do with playing someone like PNG this week rather than NZ. I mean no one seriously thinks we won't beat PNG do they?

I question the standard of the Ipswich team. I don't think it was the Qld Cup team - rather a rep side of local amateurs. 50-26 is not convincing and not a good sign. Then again, with the problems PNGRFL have had leading up to this, it should not be a surprise.
