One thing that does seem positive is that I am convinced this game was originally scheduled to be shown on BBC2. I'm pretty sure the last SL Highlights show had both this weekend's games on BBC2, so it is a positive that the England game will now be on at a time when many people will just be waking up and watching Tv over their breakfast.

It's Dave Woods, Ray French said on Sunday night he was doing Aus v PNG at Paramatta.
It was also said on Sunday night that this would be Chris Irvine's last assignment with the Times, and that the Guardian were not sending Andy Wilson.

Good news that we will get UK commentators for both games this weekend, personally I'm not a fan of the Aussie commentators, disappointing that Andy Wilson's not over there.

Its a question of taste really, but Id rather have any old aussie twaddle before. French & Davies who are just terrible.

Where I am coming from is that it shows that the media is taking the tournament quite seriously if they are prepared to send their own broadcasters over when it would be very easy for them to take the C9 coverage.
In terms of the Aussie stuff, I like the pre-match stuff, it is the actual commentary that I can't stand, they often ignore things that are happening on the field for their 'banter' and nonsense.
If Davies is there, you never know he may bloody cheer up being in the sun!

The Guardian and Observer have clearly hitched their wagons firmly to RU this season with two or more full pages guaranteed every weekend and total overload for the Heineken Cup. They're losing readership so fast these last few years that there is a touch of desperation about all that they do. RL coverage in any of the qualities (in print anyway) is now dead in the water.

To be honest the independent isn't far behind after the small coulmn we got on Sunday, while the kick and ###### cup got four full pages.

Fear not. Guardian News And Media are in deep trouble, big losses, jobs to go etc. They've sold MEN, they've closed Channel M, they've made loads of redundancies. They'll soon be gone.

I take that point.

The worst culprits of this are our very own E&S. Fair play to Frenchfor not indulging in that kind of tishtosh, but he shouldve retired some time ago.
