Lote Tuqiri has been recalled to the Australian Test squad to replace the injured Jarryd Hayne.
With 5 Tests caps some 8 years ago and then 67 Union Caps with the Wallabies he returns to possibly force his way into the starting 17.
With Morris and Boyd almost certain starters on the Wings against PNG it remains to be seen if he will get a start against England the following week.

Although I wouldn't wish injury on anyone, I thought it was good news that hayne withdrew. Then this happens and reminds you of Australias strength in depth. I actually think tuqiri could cause more problems than hayne due to his physical stature and the fact that we are not strong defensively out wide. I hope he doesn't get selected as he would prove to be more dangerous than the other two mentioned IMO.

Is Uate an Aussie now?
Tuquri is still a class act and I can see him in green and gold this year.

I am not sure of what Uate's citizenship is.
I am sure he can apply to take up Australian citizenship just like the many thousand s of immigrants and refugees do.

From what I've seen of the NRL this year, Tuqiri's been in good form. Another big winger for our backs to try and contain.

Akuila Uate played for Fiji in 2008 World Cup, along with "Jazza" Hayne, Darryl Millard, Wes Naiqama and Aaron Groom.
