Agreed. Gave 100% for us from the word go, despite some fans being slightly dubious when we picked him up from Swinton to cover for Kyle Wood's departure. Some of the Leigh fans seem a bit unsure about offering a contract, but I can assure them he's well worth having in their squad. Shame we couldn't keep him, but I reckon we've got more than adequate replacements signed up.

Govin is a good player as long as he stays fit.......good back-up for Paul and Ridyard.

BSJ, I'm afraid that none of our dual reg players competed in any of our Northern Rail Cup games last season, including the final. However, loan player Alex Brown did play in the semi-final and final. Hope that clarifies things.

I could be wrong, Frank (apologies if so), but didn't Kyle Wood play against Gateshead, scoring an early try?

I think you are correct..... about Kyle Wood and not that we would have struggled without his early break through

According to this week's local 'rag' in Leigh, Gov and Gorski are being offered deals by Leigh.

I've always thought Govin is an excellent player, but his career has been unfortunately dogged by injury. Here's hoping his luck changes. If so, he could be our best acquisition.

On another note, it looks like your spat with the RFL is being cleared up. That's good news, as I'm sure you will prove highly competitive once again, in the Championship. Looking forward to seeing you twice (at least!) next season.

If Govin goes, good luck to him. He gave 100 % in the games I watched.
However, as far as I personally am concerned, I think it will be a great loss to us.
IMO he was one of the best distributours of the ball I have seen in many a year.
He would have been a 'plus' for us if we could have retained him.

A few of your boys fired blanks in the 09 last season - Duffy, Ridyard, Durbin, Coyle and dare I say it, Sir Robbie Paul. All talk, no trousers.

Generally agree with you there. We were never creative enough to unlock the best defences. However, all those that you mention did have their moments, but never consistently though. (apart from Coyle, that is, who didn't play for Leigh )

Have followed Govin's career since he played for our Academy. He's always had class, and confidence - useful qualities in a half back!
