Id be happy if you could buy one!

Mine is a medium size. I think they were a limited edition type thing which would be why they only have certain sizes left.

It looks like Down Under Leisure have them in all sizes by the looks of it. But the England RL website is sold out of most sizes??? huh.gif What's the fit like? As if it's big fitting on the waist I may not bother, having been to the Final at Trafford I don't want too look like I'm from Lancashire or Merseyside. biggrin.gif

Dare I suggest that the fitting around the waist would only be as big as your waist is! Hoops are never flattering to those with a 'bigger shape' - Mark Riddell is a good example. Vertical stripes are supposed to make you look taller - not sure about thinner though. It would take more than vertical stripes to make Mr Riddell look slim.

The other good thing about the shirt is the collar - a proper collar on a proper shirt. Not the t-shirt type things a lot of clubs have nowadays.

The RFL/ Puma missed a trick by not putting the original Northern Union badge on the shirt and shorts, had they done so I would have bought one, just to wear down the gym. Thought the Kiwi shirt was very cool with the silver fern on it.

Anyone know at what point in time the Kiwis stopped wearing the fern on their shirts? Personally I think there should be a heritage round in all 4 Nations comps.

Think it was in the 1930s that the kiwi was added - the NZRU put on a bit of a stink about who owned the rights to "All Blacks" and the fern badge. The NZRL relented by adding the kiwi to the badge and more white to the jersey. The RL team in the earlier years had been simply known as the "professional All Blacks" and wore the amateur NZ rugby kit.

I'm over-weight for my build but with a 8" 'drop' I prefer a slight taper as a 44" mid-section doesn't look great, in my opinion, especially with stripes. Surely a happy medium between fat guy fit & player fit would have worked? biggrin.gif

Urban myth.

Fat is not flattering, it doesn't matter what shirt the likes of Riddell and Danny Sculthorpe put on......

It's not an Urban Myth even that Gok Wang (?) twit tells fat lasses not to wear horizonal stripes. I even managed to mistake a Wigan lass for being preggaz, on the tram to Old Trafford, & gave away my seat unnecissarily. laugh.gif

I think there were only really 2 'fatties' in the SL this season and they were; Solomona & Eastwood.

A couple of us wore this to the game - not many England fans there and even fewer wearing these tops. We did cop heaps from the locals all day and night - the most original being call of "Where's Wally" which was funny the first time, but rather draining after the 50th time of hearing it. Good banter on the whole with the Kiwis - especially the Maori guys sat behind at the ground and genuine interest in the game around town with folk coming and and asking us the score etc. Nice stadium too.
