.....both at Wrexham, this time around. Any warm up they have could be in the South but I think perserverence (spl) is needed and a chance to give the Crusaders faithful a chance to watch some competitive matches. How's about a warm-up VS Cumbria?

Warm up games - absolutley. Cumbria or France perhaps. These should be in Wrexham.

Locations: I dissagee. Both 4Nations games should be at the Millenium stadium and just open the bottom tier.

20,000 should be the target for both games, maybe more for the Aussies.

Didn't the Welsh get 17,000 a few years back for a game agains the kiwis in the Millenium stadium?

If this is the case, combined with the recent resurgance of Welsh RL, they should be aiming 20,000 plus...

What about Tranmere. Liverpool is supposed to be "the biggest Welsh city" Wales soccer have certainly played home games at Anfield in the past.

England in Wigan, New Zealand in Wrexham, Australia in the Cardiff City Stadium, it holds 26,000, or the Millenium Stadium.

After seeing the beginning of the footy today, is Stoke too far away?

I think Stoke is about 35 miles from Wrexham. I'm sure Clare Balding said that we get 2 home games, we'll need to hold on to our home advantage. biggrin.gif Wigan is pretty central for England fans. Kc and Hudds for Englands Australian, New Zealand games.

I wouldn't be surprised if the RFL decided to play England - Wales at Widnes or Warrington.

Indeed it would be typical of the fat accountant from Yorkshire to do something like that maybe also Wales will play:

v Australia at Wrexham
v NZ at The Brewery Field

Thats ambition! biggrin.gif

I'd like a double header at the Millennium Stadium for Wales v England and Australia v New Zealand.

Then Wales v New Zealand in Wrexham and Wales v Australia in Swansea perhaps?

Im so chuffed we actually have to plan this right now.

Wales v England is BIG in any sport , whether its Union, Football or even Baseball! I think it would get a good crowd here for Rugby League.
The match should be here in this City I think , just not sure which Stadium, Cardiff Arms Park might be better idea instead of just opening the bottom tier of the Millennium Stadium next door,

It needs to marketed well though

Like this suggestion.

With careful planning and aggresive marketing we can take ownership of the Millenium Stadium. It's the biggest stage and it's the right stage to showcase this sport in Wales. A Wales v England game will draw in the crowds.

The boys at Wales RL have got a busy and exciting time ahead...

This Millennium Stadium double header idea's got me interested. If that comes off I my even stop moaning about not using Wembley.

They should avoid the Millenium Stadium. People will just notice the empty seats and despite probably having the biggest chance of a large crowd will ironically give off the worst impression to new fans. Unless we managed 30,000 it would look sparse. People talk about the 17,000 during the World Cup but I remember this not being seen as positive at the time, it was even commented on by the BBC at the time. Remember that means 55,000 empty seats. Any new fan that day saw their team heavily beaten in front of a 3/4 empty stadium, I can't see how this is good for the game.

Wrexham should be rewarded with NZ and I think England should be played in Wales too, possibly Swansea. Australia should be saved for Cardiff, aiming for about 15k at their new stadium. The Welsh public are knowledgable enough to recognise that the Kangaroos are one of the greatest sporting sides and the RL equivalent of the All Blacks. The challenge is to make sure they know that they are about and in a meaningful competition. Just organising it isn't enough, this is Welsh RL's big chance. The last time the Kangaroos came, 3,000 turned up. Granted it was in horrid surroundings but they can't presume that they will just turn up.

I think an Aus-NZ, Wal-Eng double header at either Cardiff City, Swansea or Millenium Stadium is a fantastic idea and it should open the tournament IMO

I would go for:

Aus v NZ, Wal v Eng - Cardiff City

Eng v NZ - KC, Hull
Wal v Aus - Liberty, Swansea

Eng v Aus - Bramall Lane, Sheffield
Wal v NZ - Racecourse, Wrexham

Final - Man City, Eastlands

I don't mind that except a. I think games in London have been good. and b. I don't think Aus v NZ adds much to a double header. So just make England play Wales at Cardiff and keep Aus v NZ in London. I think that would mean far more people will attend games. Maybe as much as 15,000 more.

Love it!

I was going to suggest:

Aus V NZ - Philadelphia
Wales V England - Cardiff City

Wales V NZ - Wrexham
England V Aus - London?

Wales V Aus - Swansea
Eng V NZ - Hull

Final - CoManchester Stadium

Either would be great IMO.
