After taking the club into the Cooperative Championship,
Steve Ball has stepped down after 3 years as Hawks Chairman.
Local businessman Tony Stead
has agreed to take over the reins with immdiate effect.
The club would like to thank Steve for his contributions and also welcome Tony Stead,
who will hopefully take the club on to remain and prosper in the Championship.
Further statements will be issued in the near future
regarding Tonys hopes and aspirations for the clubs future.

Not sure what money we have thrown about, so far we have cut our costs losing 2 international players and brought in 4 players so far. At this moment in time i'm not sure if the squad is stronger than it was last year.
Can you please enlighten us to the cash thrown about please?

Why do you assume a new Chairman puts money into the club?
Attract it to the club-yes --- put their own money in ??

I don't assume that, its obviousley Andy. I would like to think the club spend within its means. I would certainly hope the new cairman can carry on the good work done by Steve Ball

Mike,
with hindsight maybe I got it wrong, perhpas what I meant to say is the 'promise' of money being thrown about
As for cutting costs obviosuly all your lads are happy to take less in winning pay than last year but there again half your fans think you are going to be a top 3 side already so that won't be a problem
KOL is now describing you as the Man City of National leagues, it's bl**dy hilarious.

This Championship Forum is going to be a lively place to be on with Hunslet, and York joining it. As Suzzy said in a earlier posting there are some good club postings on it with only Leigh and Widnes appearing not to bother.
The Championship 1 Forum is now a dull place with Hunslet and York leaving it to be replaced by Keighley, and Whitehaven, two clubs without many postings.
Keep Hunslet and York in the Championship if only for the educational value.
You know it makes sense!

You appear to be new to this Forum- so why do you want to know?
Hunslet will make any announcements in their own time.
Wait and see.
