Whilst I'm not a ginger, there's a strong ginger gene in my family. But I believe in order to produce a ginger, two people with the ginger gene are required. Neither of my children are ginger either.

It's a recessive gene which means it can strike at any time.

Quite. I cannot imagine her commenting adversely on a black politician's hair being somewhat different from the Anglo-Saxon norm yet "ginners" are fair game. Says it all about the New Labour mentality.

MY grandma was ginger (you could still see traces of it when she was in her coffin at 86) my uncle was ginger. All his children were ginger to a greater or lesser extent, but then I know that some his wife's relatives were also ginger. My father nor none of his siblings were ginger. But his elder sister married a man with ginger hair and they produced ginger offspring. But he married girl with dark hair and neither of his children were ginger. I haven't seen any of their children, they live in Suffolk.
