Time we had a new topic...

Tom Bush - 20 year old winger/full back - from Leeds
Rhinos, their under 20's player of the year, played 4 times
in Super League, looks like he will be used as a winger for us.

From the Club

Knights Complete Bush Signing
York City Knights are delighted to confirm the signing of Leeds Rhinos
Winger or Fullbck Tom Bush. The 20 year old made four first team
appearances for the Rhinos during the 2010 season, scoring a try on his
debut against Harlequins. He comes highly reccommended by the Rhinos and is
looking forward to getting stuck into pre season training. Commenting on
the signing Knights General Manager Ian Wilson said,

"We are pleased that Tom has agreed to join us. We have been looking for
another outside back for a number of weeks and we believe that Tom will add
quality to our backline. To play four Superleague games in 2010 shows that
he is a talented player and that coupled with his outstanding attitude was
the reason we decided to sign him".

Tom will link up with the Knights for pre season training on Sunday as Head
Coach Dave Woods steps up preperation for the forthcoming season.

Knights supporters will have the opportunity to meet Tom and the rest of
the first team squad at the York City Knights Foundations Luxury Shopping
Night on Wednesday 17th November from 3pm in Bar 13. In addition to the new
range of Knights merchandise there will be a number of other stalls selling
a range of products to customers.

Excellent signing is that. Very pleased.

If Tom is as good as the last young winger we got from Leeds he will do me, some of the Leeds fans think he is a bit on the small side they said that about Foxy as well, welcome to the Knights Tom.

Not this year, Jack will be completely the wrong shape when Dicko
has finished with him....

Tom is a good player should do a good job in Championship.
Good move for him as well as i am sure him playing in Championship will improve his own game not quite ready for SL yet.
Good signing and he is very fast!!

Funnily enough, when Chris Thorman left Hull I thought, "It'd be nice to sign him but it'll never happen", I thought the very same thing about Paul Cooke when I saw he wasn't been retained by Wakey. You never know.

Cooky would be a real master stroke if we can pull that one off, great player with lots of experience and just what we require at this moment in time. He would be very welcome at the Club.

Would be potentially a tremendous signing whatever the terms but I won't hold my breath as there's a long way to go between now and the start of the season... long enough for a bigger team to come in with another offfer anyway.

He definitely has the potential to turn out as good a winger as Foxy has done.

seems a strange signing considering that you already have the following outside backs already in your squad fighting for four spots:

Wingers=D Tuffour,D.Sutton,D Wilson,T.Lineham,D.mole,A. Winstanley.
Centres=D.Straughier,M.Barlow,L.Watterman,M.Mitchell,I. Bell,E.Smith.

Thats 13 players to fill 4 places huh.gif huh.gif

looking a bit light in the pack which wont be a wise move in the championship ????
unless Woodsy is packing down of course !!

Paul Cooke story in Press today, club say no contact with
the player as of yet, so they have nothing more to say on
the subject at this moment in time........

Seen the bit about getting rid of clubs from the Forum
who seem to attract little interest, but there's nothing
against the Hunslet Forum???
