seems a strange signing considering that you already have the following outside backs already in your squad fighting for four spots:

Wingers=D Tuffour,D.Sutton,D Wilson,T.Lineham,D.mole,A. Winstanley.
Centres=D.Straughier,M.Barlow,L.Watterman,M.Mitchell,I. Bell,E.Smith.

Thats 13 players to fill 4 places huh.gif huh.gif

looking a bit light in the pack which wont be a wise move in the championship ????
unless Woodsy is packing down of course !!

Bulldoggystyle,

Based on the players which played for York last season and what I know about the other players. I would see Tom Lineham and Bush been first choice on the wing, but not sure about centres. At least four of the 13 are likely to feature more in the reserves. I wouldn't be suprised if some of the centres listed turn out in the second row or at loose forward next season namely Lee Waterman, Ian Bell or Mark Barlow (who is billed as a utility).

Unlike some clubs, we have a reserve team. Also, one player is injured until next summer and another still in prison. That leaves 11 to fill 8 places plus back up for fullback, as we only have 2 spots filled there.

This isn't an inflammatory post to get the likes of yourself and offyergo drooling in anger over your keyboards, but on what basis do you hold the opinion that Ian Bell is 'the best centre outside of Super League'? I'm willing to wager that the bloke hasn't even played more than 20 first team games over the course of his entire career.

If if if if I didnt turn to drink and if if if if i trained properly and if if if it i had the talent and if if if etc, then i'd be a GB regualr too. No doubt about it. I wouldnt play for Hull FC though.

Let's me fair. If Belly and Cookey played together for York and had their mind set right, they would create/score tons of tries. BUT!!

I'd be quite concerned if it actually was Ian Bell, bearing in mind he's still in prison.

New signing - Ben Jones, ex Harlequins & Rhinos prop,
roomed with/mates with Ryan Esders when down at Quins,
close to a full time contract at Hull FC for 2011, but didn't happen.

Callum Dinsdale - released to allow him to play amateur
rugby.
