Having read the threads about our signings for next year, i cant help feel that while we have a handfull of guys with CC1 experience, we lack a couple of "older" experienced players who can get things across on the pitch.

I am sure CT has some useful contacts and while cost will be a limiting factor, i would like to think that DW is looking for additional on field support.

What would we give for a player with the experience, skill and knowledge that certain Mr Jackson, brought to the Knights!

Coming from an area of high unemployment the word 'experience' is the one that means people won't be employed because they lack 'experience' and of course, while they remain unemployed they won't get any 'experience'.
I would have liked to have seen Luke Branighan but he has experienced a Northern Rail 9's victory and a Championship Grand Final victory this year,so really there is nothing left for him to 'experience' in the Championship.

With the number of 1 year contracts given to some of our players I do worry that they may not experience a lengthy stay with YCK.
I would have thought that if the players are confident enough that they will attract the attention of other clubs, then YCK should be lookng to regain,in financial terms for the time, energy and expertise afforded to those players by Dicko and DW.

That experienced club who won 3 Grand Finals in a row do not seem to have developed our latest recruit in the best possible way to maximise his potential whereas YCK with their limited budget and staff will be adding to his experience, physique and pace.( If what I have seen in the past is repeated.)

Oscar Wilde is quoted as saying - ''Experience is the name one gives to their mistakes''.

I don't class myself as dumb but i'm mystified as to what brought this reply to what i thought was a reasonable post.

Maybe i should have titled the post "old or older pro's required"

Oszo,
I must apologise to you.Yours was a reasonable post and while I understood the point you were making I replied in a manner which was difficult to understand. The fault is mine.My only excuse for it was my lack of time and ill-health.
I may also have been frustrated at the apparent lack of belief in the head coach and the nucleus of the side who 'earned the right' to play in the higher division, and the writing-off of the new signings before any of them have been seen to play,in some earlier postings.

Please accept my apology for the earlier inadequate post.

Thanks TwoBlues for your comments and apologies. Glad you reviewed the messages and now understand where i was coming from.

For your information i have every faith in the head coach and i also belive that a lot of the squad are very capable of doing a job for us next season. I was just offering my thoughts on how DW will best get his message across to the guys during the 80 mins of play.
Thanks

I agree the web site is a couple of months out of date at least, still got Ratcliffe as coach and players who left half way through last season, the lotto winners have not been up dated for ages, just think it looks poor.

People have been busy busy over the last few weeks, John, putting together a relaunch of the web site ( as I understand it ) and it's imminent and has full individual profiles of the 2011 squad..
