Hullfan,
Well done for showing support for Ian Bell.
There was a famous and successful soccer manager who made a 'naughty boy' his captain because 'he knew all the tricks and would have to deal with others who behaved in a similar way to himself'.( Or words to that effect.)Here is the latest example I can find
I don't know anything about Ian Bell but reading about his latest troubles I have the impression they are 'domestic related' and if so then, for me,it is a case of,''There but for the grace of God go I'',and,'Never judge a man until you've walked a mile in his mocassins'.
Watching him perform at Oldham,(for too short a time) I was reminded of the Ray French commentary,
' x pounds of prime English beef 'and ' A good big 'un is better than a good little 'un'.
I don't have any excuse for him missing training,in the past, other than he may have an unreliable car but absolutley no excuse for letting good people down. But he cannot change that now.He still has time for a good future.( I don't think his holiday location is very good but the coach who may sign him hasn't had a holiday of any quality since 2006,despite the traumas he has endured - the Busmans holiday in Australia with Saint Helens doesn't count !)
I didn't think Paul March could have a well disciplined season,( or will do again !)but he did this year.
I may be swayed by later information and comments but at this moment I agree with you regarding Ryan as an ideal captain.

Jack Lee and/or John Pressley could be somewhere near for me.

Could you imagine some of the conversations Ezo would have with referee's if he was made captain? They would be pure comedy!!!

Reckon the launch day - next Wednesday 17th November - could
be a bit early for naming captain & shirt numbers etc.
Also see City cup replay is on the same day.........

Thursday 16th Dec 7pm Sponsors Night @ Bar13 (All Welcome)
The Squad recieve there shirts
Would like to think they would announce the Captain and Vice Captain on this night !
Think Jack Lee would make a good Vice Captain behind Thorman

Think it has to be J. D. after all he captained Wakefield in S/L. and with him playing in the 2nd row will be on the pitch most of the time.

Can't argue with that - mentions in Press about him playing
in the back row - got to be loose forward for me.
Spine of the team - Haynsey, CT & John Pressley, Jack Lee
& JD looks extremely useful to me.

Well it is not going to be Thorman or JD.
Going to be one of Jack Lee, Alex Benson, Duane Straugheir, Jonny Presley and Ryan Esders.
Will go for Ryan Esders just a complete guess mind.

Think Benno would do a good job and seems well respected by the rest of the lads.
