People didn't elect those idiots. This one got votes!

He certainly did! If I was one of his constituents I would be dismayed at his lack of judgement - as I am about my own (ex) MP Woolas. I just think the extremists represent more of a threat than an attempt at humour (ill -informed as it was) by a now obviously apologetic MP.

Quite right too. Don't give those people then publicity they want.

"Can someone please stone Yasmin Alibhai-Brown to death? I shan't tell Amnesty if you don't. It would be a blessing, really."
A stupid thing to say, and a rather lame joke, and worthy of an apology to Yasmin Alibhai-Brown. But do we really need to arrest people when they are obviously not making genuine threats? Don't the police have anything better to do? And are they going to be in the audience at a programme like 'Mock the Week' to arrest the participants as they come off stage, where much of the humour is (or has been) directed at individual targets using strong language?

I totally agree. They should be catching speeding motorists.

Here's another example. At best, both the guy in my link and the councillor in this story need to get a bollocking and told to not do it again. Anything more is just over-reaction.
Money can't buy happiness... but it can buy bacon which is close enough.

Currently the most popular thing on twitter.
100000's to be charged and taken to court....or not...

Given that it is Alibai-Brown, I'd say it was fair comment.

Yeah but not only did the extremists not get arrested for incitement but someone got arrested for protesting against them doing it.

2 of the extremists were arrested for public order offences.

Ah okay, still not many compared to what would happen if people were burning Qu'rans or something

Why?
Not long ago people got arrested in this country for burning Qu'rans.
Either burning symbols is okay or not.
Also the 'British soldiers burn in Hell' is disgusting and night on identical to what comes out of Westboro Baptist Church and yet you're not an apologist for them.

Of course not. They are white and therefore fascists. Brown skinned folk doing exactly the same thing are always given some excuse or other.

Actually it's pretty racist the way some blame white people for every evil in more than one way as it falsely assumes non-white people aren't capable of controlling their circumstances.
