I burnt a Koran the other week - I had ran out of newspaper for the woodburner and it was something I had at hand and obviously doesn't have a relevance to me that it does to your average muslim!
Should I expect a knock at the door?

The people in question (approx. 35) are the same people who wanted to protest in wootton basset, they are linked to choudary. They are condemned by those on the right and the left, muslims, sikhs, christians, etc. They are a small nutty fringe with a great line in publicity.
They don't represent anyone other from themselves. Who is saying they are right? Making excuses for them? Who?

The far-left make alliances with them.

Are you surprised? Lunatics are drawn to each other like moths to a flame!

I'm not surprised at all. It's just the hypocrisy of it that grates.

Technically yes you could but unless you filmed it or did it in public then it's unlikely. In either of those cases you'd certainly be arrested and probably maligned on world news

Yup more lunitics attacking a mosque who's iman has condemmed the poppy burning.
A poppy was painted on the front of the Jami mosque, on Victoria Road North in Southsea, on Friday and on Saturday 100 people staged a demonstration outside.
Hampshire police said there had been no arrests but that they would continue to monitor the situation.
Muhammad Muhi Uddin said he condemned Thursday's poppy burning

Of course if the alliance ever got into power I suspect the far left wouldn't know what hit them as the Islamists would be the better organised of the two and wouldn't share multiculturalist or liberal values with the far left to put it mildly. Tower Hamlets will be the testing ground of this

I'd almost enjoy watching that. Of course I'd probably be next in line.

Depends, the more liberal you are the more at risk you'd be. Though if you didn't want to convert then goingto Church may be an option if you'd be prepared to pay dhimmi.
In all honesty I can understand where the Islamists are coming from more easily than their sympathisers who'd be horrified at a Church being right of centre

Well at least that's one poppy the islamic extremists are unlikely to burn!!

If you really want to rant about how evil the muslims are in every post I think there are likely to be far more appropriate forums out there for you.
Money can't buy happiness... but it can buy bacon which is close enough.

The thread did involve a Muslim woman who supported stoning not liking it being suggested for her. But yes thread drift over from the poppy thread

A stupid thing to say, and a rather lame joke, and worthy of an apology to Yasmin Alibhai-Brown. But do we really need to arrest people when they are obviously not making genuine threats? Don't the police have anything better to do? And are they going to be in the audience at a programme like 'Mock the Week' to arrest the participants as they come off stage, where much of the humour is (or has been) directed at individual targets using strong language?
I would agree with both of these statements.

Until this forum takes action in line with the T&Cs in relation to the islamaphobes and xenophobes then it's going to happen.

If you want a forum where everyone is forced to agree with your opinion then go on an SWP forum or the rlfans Sin Bin.
If it's okay to criticise Christianity it is okay to criticise any other religion

I've nothing against the criticism of Islam, or any other religion, I just don't like to see it dragged (often tenuously) into each and every thread on here.

It may be Okay, it doesn't make it compulsory.
