As you may have read from the 2011 season the York City Knights Supporters Club is to be brought under the banner of the club itself as a Club Membership scheme. The Club Membership will still be governed by a committee as before and will be known as the Knights Fundraising Club. We welcome new additions to that committee if you are interested in helping out.
Money raised from memberships and fundraising events will be used to run the York City Knights Reserve Grade, U18’s Scholarship and Development Squads as we aim to provide opportunities for talented young player to progress into the first team.
The cost of the membership is £10 per year for Adults & £3 for U16’s and for this members will receive the following benefits;
• Membership Card
• Travel to away games (game by game supplement required)
• Invitation to all official club functions throughout the year
• Chance to win a box for 10 people, including food, for a 2011 Knights match
• Club members allocated a player sponsor for the 2011 season
To become a member simply fill in the reply slip below and return to the club office with a cheque for the appropriate amount or pay at the launch night on Wed 17th November.
Thank you in advance for your continued support.

This sounds like a really positive move to me. Out of interest, does anyone know how much money the Supporter's Club have handed over to the club in the last couple of years? It must be a pretty substantial amount with all the race nights, draws, karaoke night etc, and do they run the half time draw too??

I heard it was about £20000 which is brilliant if true.

Can anyone confirm this? £20000 over the last two seasons would be brilliant if this is right, and you would have thought it would have been more publicised if this is right, the people who run it should get a big pat on the back.

As I intend becoming a member,would it be possible for the club to sell tickets to YCK followers at The Huntington for future away games ?
I am aware of a Super League club who take this course of action and they do so as they apparently make a small profit.
Our Friends At Headingley also make this possible for their followers.
I believe there are a couple of clubs who charge extra on matchday and some do not accept cash across the turnstiles on the day of the game.This Is One Of Those Clubs
I would much prefer to pay money to YCK and assist in our club making a small profit than any of our opposition clubs.
