Ouch! Nothing worse than being dumped by text. wink.gif (well, maybe post-it note lol)

Not perhaps the best scenario, though I don't suppose he would have complained had he been emailed to say he had got the job,
two ways of looking at every picture and all that!!!!!!!!!!!!

And I suppose you've seen the txt? Or was it sent to you by mistake and you had to inform him?
Something apparently seen, heard, or sensed, but having no physical reality!

If this is true, I'd have to question the logic in the decision. Why turn away an up an coming coach with high expectations and recent, successful coaching experience for a past it gob-###### tyke who hasn't had any pertinent input on the game for 15 years?

Well it's official now!
Might be a good combination with Nigel Wright as his assistant.......lets keep our fingers crossed & wish them every success.
I know that you believe you understand what you think I said, but I'm not sure you realize that what you heard is not what I meant.

I agree give Schofield and Wright a break. We might be chearing them on or asking for heads to roll come mid summer. Let's hope it's the former.

At Blackpool, who were deducted points for (amongst other things) breaking the salary cap.

others seem to have a different view, but with full support they could win the league

Crompton wasn't responsible for the ocntracts given to players! However, I was actually referring to several of the other mentioned candidates SRC, not solely him.

Maybe not, but the extra 'salary cap busting' money spent by the club meant that he had a better squad to work with than he should have had. The success of Blackpool in that league was therefore skewed.

The logic i suppose has come from the interviews of the candidates, and the impression they gave at them, other than finance what else could be a factor

I'm with you Janet, don't know if it's the approaching season of goodwill or just that I've missed the on and off the field fun but feeling glass half full at the moment. I'm sure the BOD know what they're doing so lets give the guy a chance.

IMO Gary Schofield is a proven pundit and not to everybodies taste, but coaching??? I just hope he proves a lot of people wrong!! And does the job right at Barrow!!
